Itinerary
Welcome to Pakistan! When you arrive at Islamabad International Airport, our team will meet you and take you to your hotel. You can rest after your flight or take a walk nearby. In the evening, we'll have a group meeting to go over the trek, safety tips, and weather updates for the northern Areas. Activity: Airport Transfer & Briefing. Stay: Standard Hotel. Meals: Dinner.
We start early for our road trip along the famous Karakoram Highway (KKH). This route is called the "Eighth Wonder of the World" and takes us from the green hills of Mansehra to the rocky canyons of Kohistan. We'll travel beside the Indus River and reach Chilas, a town with Silk Road history and our entry point to the mountains. Drive: 461km (approx. 10-12 Hours). Stay: Standard Hotel in Chilas. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Get ready for an exciting drive. At Raikot Bridge, we switch to local 4×4 jeeps for the climb to Tatu Village. From there, we'll hike for about three hours to Fairy Meadows. At the top, you'll see the impressive Raikot Face of Nanga Parbat. Tonight, we'll stay in comfortable log cabins or tents, surrounded by forests and mountain quiet. Drive/Trek: 1.5 Hours Jeep Ride / 2-3 Hours Hike. Elevation: 3,300m. Stay: Log Cabins or Camping. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Today is the main day of the trek. We walk past the meadows and through Beyal Camp, a peaceful spot among the trees. As we go higher, the trees fade and the glacier landscape appears. We reach Nanga Parbat Base Camp (German Viewpoint), where you can hear the glacier and see the mountain's steep walls up close. After enjoying the views, we head back to Fairy Meadows for the night. Trek: 6-7 Hours (Round Trip). Elevation: 3,900m+. Stay: Log Cabins or Camping. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
After the past few days, today is for relaxing. Fairy Meadows is perfect for photography. You can take pictures of Nanga Parbat reflected in the ponds, walk in the pine woods, or just read a book and watch the clouds over the mountain. This is a chance to unwind and enjoy nature. Activity: Leisure/Photography. Stay: Log Cabins or Camping. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
We say goodbye to the mountains, hike down to Tatu, and take the jeep back to Raikot Bridge. Then we get back in our main vehicle and head south on the Karakoram Highway. Depending on the season and roads, we'll spend the night in Besham (by the Indus) or Naran (if Babusar Top is open). Tonight, you can enjoy a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Drive: Approx. 9 Hours. Stay: Tourist Hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
We finish our road trip back to Islamabad. On the way, we pass through Hazara and Haripur. If there's time, we'll visit the Taxila Museum and Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site from the Gandhara civilization (c. 1000 BCE). We reach Islamabad in the evening. Drive: Approx. 8 Hours. Stay: Hotel in Islamabad. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
See the modern side of Pakistan. Islamabad is a planned city next to the Margalla Hills. We'll visit the famous Faisal Mosque (one of Asia's largest), drive to the Daman-e-Koh viewpoint, and stop by local heritage markets. At the end of the day, we'll have a farewell dinner to celebrate finishing the trek. Activity: Sightseeing. Stay: Hotel in Islamabad. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
After breakfast, we'll take you to Islamabad International Airport for your flight home. We hope you leave with great memories of the Himalayas and Pakistan's hospitality.
