Arrive in Islamabad, transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing and gear check. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Early morning flight to Skardu. Acclimatization day in Skardu. Explore local markets and surroundings. Overnight stay in Skardu. NOTE: In case of flight cancellation, drive by coach to Chilas via Karakorum highway or Babusar pass.
Scenic drive to Askole, the starting point of the trek. Final preparations and meet trekking crew. Overnight stay in Askole.
Begin trekking towards Jhula. Pass through picturesque landscapes. Camp by the river. Overnight stay in Jhula.
Continue trekking to Paiju. Cross the Paiju Plateau with stunning views. Rest and acclimatization. Overnight stay in Paiju.

What to know
- High altitude, unpredictable weather, and demanding terrains demand physical fitness
- Best time to trek is June to August when weather is relatively stable
- Weather conditions in the Karakoram Range can be unpredictable even in summer
- Proper acclimatization is essential to avoid altitude sickness
- Daytime temperatures range from 5°C to 15°C, dropping to -5°C at night
- Maximum group size is 12 people
- Age limit is 18-60 years
- People under 18 or over 60 years of age
- Those without proper physical fitness
- People with heart conditions or serious medical issues
- Those who cannot handle high altitude and unpredictable weather
- Sleeping bag rated for -10F to -20F with compression stuff sack
- Base layer top & bottom: 2–3 lightweight, moisture-wicking pairs
- Down jacket: lightweight, insulated for cold evenings
- Rain jacket: waterproof, breathable (Gore-Tex recommended)
- Trekking boots: waterproof, ankle-supporting with good grip
- Headlamp: LED with 100–200 lumens, plus spare batteries
- Sunglasses: UV-protective with side shields for glacier glare
- Water bottles: two 1L wide-mouth, BPA-free plastic bottles
- Trekking poles: adjustable for stability on uneven terrain
- Personal first aid kit: bandages, blister pads, pain relievers
