Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Islamabad (512m)

Arrive in Islamabad, transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing and gear check. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

Day 2Fly to Skardu

Early morning flight to Skardu. Acclimatization day in Skardu. Explore local markets and surroundings. Overnight stay in Skardu. NOTE: In case of flight cancellation, drive by coach to Chilas via Karakorum highway or Babusar pass.

Day 3Drive to Askole (3000m)

Scenic drive to Askole, the starting point of the trek. Final preparations and meet trekking crew. Overnight stay in Askole.

Day 4Trek to Jhula (3200m)

Begin trekking towards Jhula. Pass through picturesque landscapes. Camp by the river. Overnight stay in Jhula.

Day 5Trek to Paiju (3600m)

Continue trekking to Paiju. Cross the Paiju Plateau with stunning views. Rest and acclimatization. Overnight stay in Paiju.

Day 6Rest Day in Paiju

Acclimatization day. Optional short hikes around Paiju. Overnight stay in Paiju.

Day 7Trek to Khoburtse (4000m)

Trek to Khoburtse with panoramic views. Enjoy the changing landscapes. Overnight stay in Khoburtse.

Day 8Trek to Urdukas (4200m)

Trek to Urdukas with views of Trango Tower. Campsite with a stunning backdrop. Overnight stay in Urdukas.

Day 9Trek to Goro II (4500m)

Trek to Goro II with views of Mashabrum. Beneath Gasherbrum IV. Marvel at the vastness of the Baltoro Glacier. Overnight stay in Goro II.

Day 10Trek to Concordia (4650m)

  • High altitude, unpredictable weather, and demanding terrains demand physical fitness
  • Best time to trek is June to August when weather is relatively stable
  • Weather conditions in the Karakoram Range can be unpredictable even in summer
